The OUTLINE OF THE HISTORY OF POST-BYZANTINE LAW is a continuation of D. Ginis's publication of the same name. It is the result of research and writing by researchers of our Center, as it was included in the series "Treatises of the Academy of Athens."
The collective research program of RCHGL: "Outline of the History of Post-Byzantine Law. The Greek texts" was completed within the years 2006-2011 with the scientific responsibility of the Director of RCHGL Mrs. Lydia Paparriga-Artemiadis and with the collaboration of the researchers Mr. I. Hatzakis and Il. Arnaoutoglou. It is the systematic presentation of all the sources of post-Byzantine law published to date, which constitutes the continuation and completion of the "Outline of the History of Post-Byzantine Law" published by D.S. Ginis, Treatises of the Academy of Athens, vol. 26, Athens 1966, pp. 1–418.
The volume "Outline of the History of Post-Byzantine Law: The Latin, Italian, and French texts" was completed within the same period as above under the scientific supervision of RCHGL researcher Mr. Ioannis Hatzakis.
Details on the methodology and research utilization of the published sources are indicated in each volume's Introduction.
